2. Selection of Diamond Distribution Concentration

For marble and other soft stone materials, the mechanical properties of the cutter head are relatively low, and copper-based binder can be used. However, the copper-based binder has low sintering temperature, low strength and hardness, high toughness and low bonding strength with diamond. When tungsten carbide (WC) is added, WC or W2C is used as skeleton metal, and appropriate amount of cobalt is added to improve the strength, hardness and bonding properties. A small amount of low melting point and low hardness copper, Sn, Zn and other metals are added as bonding phases. The particle size of the main additive should be 200 meshes and that of the additive should be less than 300 meshes.
5. Selection of sintering process
With the increase of temperature, the densification degree of matrix increases, and the flexural strength also increases. With the extension of holding time, the flexural strength of blank matrix and diamond agglomeration first increases and then decreases. Sintering at 800 C for 120s can be selected to meet the performance requirements.
